索尼在完成手機部門的併購後，今年初就打著One Sony的口號，希望能透過整合自家豐富的集團資源，打造出一台讓人眼睛為之一亮的超級手機，一步步收復手機戰場的領土。今年IFA大展更是發表了一個史無前例的新概念，讓手機也能像單眼相機一樣裝備鏡頭，不只能帶給用戶更好的攝錄體驗，同時還能保有索尼一貫的美形機身。
這次發表的兩款鏡頭主要是用NFC（近場無線通訊）與Wi-Fi和連結手機操控，因此除了掛載在手機上，也能放在其他地方使用，使用的廣度將會有很大的發揮空間。
